Friday, June 27, 2025

In accordance with a directive from the leadership of ARCS, a coordinated delegation comprising representatives from Kabul, Western Zone, and the Herat provincial branch, has been deployed to the Islam Qala border crossing in Herat province. Accompanied by 20 volunteers, the team is facilitating the delivery of urgent humanitarian and healthcare services to returnees arriving from Iran.

Currently, two mobile health teams are actively operating in the area, providing healthcare services to returnees. In addition, approximately 6,000 newly repatriated individuals receive hot meals and potable water.

The primary objective of this initiative is to promptly support repatriated refugees and establish temporary relief during their return.

It is noteworthy that similar relief operations are being carried out for returnees at the Omari camp in Torkham and the Anzhergai camp in Kandahar province.
