ARCS Holds Talks with IHH Foundation on Strengthening Volunteer Training

Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS, held a meeting with Mr. Suleiman Epli, Head of the Turkish IHH Foundation in Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Gürkan Ulutaş, IHH’s Regional Disaster Response Coordinator. Discussions focused on ways to strengthen volunteer training during natural disasters, alongside efforts to expand joint cooperation between the two organizations.
During the meeting, Mr. Hafiz Azizur Rahman stated, “Across the country, ARCS volunteers play an active and effective role in rescuing families affected by natural disasters, providing first aid, and delivering emergency services.”
He emphasized that implementing regular training programs and supplying the necessary technical equipment can make rescue and relief operations during natural disasters faster and more efficient. He also requested technical and professional support from the IHH Foundation in this regard.
On their part, Mr. Epli and the delegation assured that they would provide technical disaster response training for up to 30 volunteers.
The delegation further pledged to continue cooperation with ARCS to reduce the impacts of natural disasters and strengthen the coordination of humanitarian assistance.
