Kunar: Construction of 160 Permanent Homes Worth AFN 88 Million Begins for Earthquake-Affected Families

The ARCS has launched the construction of permanent homes for 160 earthquake-affected families in Sohail Tangi, Mazar Dara, Nurgal District, Kunar Province.

The project is being implemented with financial support from the IFRC and aims to provide safe and permanent shelter for families whose homes, property, and basic means of living were lost as a result of the earthquake.

The total value of the project is AFN 88 million, with AFN 550,000 allocated for the construction of each housing unit.

Upon completion of the project, 160 earthquake-affected families will have access to safe and permanent shelter.

The ARCS strives, through its shelter and recovery programs, to provide safe shelter for families affected by natural disasters and to support the restoration of their livelihoods and normal living conditions.
