Kabul: Continued IFRC Support for Professional Training of ARCS Staff Emphasized

Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, met with Hossam Faysal, Head of the IFRC Delegation in Afghanistan, to discuss capacity building, professional training for ARCS staff, and further cooperation and coordination in relevant areas.
During the meeting, the ARCS General President expressed his appreciation to the IFRC for providing training programs and financial support for the professional development of ARCS staff in the areas of finance, safety and security, culture, disaster response, and health.
Mr. Delawar emphasized the continuation of training programs for ARCS staff and said that the organization would share information with the IFRC about departments and staff members in need of training so that appropriate training programs could be developed based on their areas of work and specific needs.
In response, the Head of the IFRC Delegation emphasized the importance of professional training for staff, noting that enhancing employees’ professional skills is essential for improving the organization’s operations and ensuring its continued and well-organized development.
He also shared information about the needs and ongoing efforts related to the development and capacity building of the ARCS and said that the IFRC is working on a specific model to strengthen the capacity of the National Society.
Mr. Faysal assured continued IFRC cooperation and coordination in strengthening the capacity of the ARCS and providing professional training for its staff.
