Biography of Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis, Acting president of the ARCS
Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis is the son of the great jihadi leader Mawlavi Mohammad Yunus Khalis. He was born in 1961 in a jihadi, enlightened and knowledgeable family of the village of Nokorkhel in the Khogyani district of Nangarhar province.
Mawlavi Matiul Haq's father, the late Mawlavi Mohammad Yunus Khalis was a prominent, influential and world-renowned scholar and jihadi figure in Afghanistan, who for years fought against the Soviet and American invasions to raise the word of Kalimatu-Allah.
Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis started his early education and training with his father and two kind uncles (Mawlavi Mohammad Yusuf and Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Mohaqi). He also completed his secondary education in his village. He migrated to neighboring Pakistan after the communist coup in Afghanistan and completed the rest of his higher education in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis received his bachelor's degree in 1986 from the University of Madinah of Saudi Arabia. He completed his Master degree in Islamic Studies from the University of Punjab, in Lahore city of Pakistan.
In1986 He has been a teacher at Al-Hijra Wal-Jihad Madrassa in Shamshutu Camp in Peshawar of Pakistan and has been in charge to create relations with foreign organizations on behalf of the Hizibe-Islami jihadi party of Afghanistan But because he loved jihad and struggle and grew up in a jihadist family, he never left the ranks of jihad and joined hands with the mujahideen against the communists and their allies and fought on the front lines until the victory of Islam, religion and Mujahideen.
Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis, in addition to his higher education, memorized the Holy Quran at the age of 55 years. In 1990-91 He conducted a major course in Hadith at Imdadul Uloom Madrasa in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In addition to his native Pashto, He also speak fluently in Dari, Arabic and Urdu.
In 1993 during the establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis remained the deputy director of education in Nangarhar Province.
Following the US involvement in Afghanistan, he followed in his father's footsteps and began jihad with the US. In this way, he played a significant role in encouraging the Mujahideen and took on military and media responsibilities.
In 2019 after the military campaign against the United States and its allies, He has been appointed a member of the negotiating team of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qatar for talks with the United States. At the same time, in 2020 He was appointed a member of the Political Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qatar and a member of the negotiating team of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with the Afghan government.
In 2021 He was appointed as the President of the ARCS by the decree 24 of Amir al-mu'minin Sheikh Hibatullah Akounzada, leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, which has so far served as the acting president of the Afghan Red Crescent Society.
