Today, on Wednesday, 23rd of February 2022 the acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society Maulvi Matiul Haq Khalis met with Ali bin Hassan Al Hamadi the Secretary General of the Qatar Red Crescent Society and his accompanying delegation in Doha.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed increasing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan. The Acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society called on the Secretary General of the Qatar Red Crescent Society and his accompanying delegation that "Afghanistan is in dire need of humanitarian assistance so Qatar should play a greater role in this regard".

The Secretary General of the Qatar Red Crescent Society, Ali bin Hassan al-Hamadi, promised that they would expands its support to the Afghan Red Crescent Society and will help them.
