The ARCS has launched a cash-for-work project worth AFN 4 million in Bedad village of Dangam District, Kunar Province.

The project will involve the construction of a 300-meter-long retaining wall, which, once completed, will help protect the agricultural land of Bedad village from potential damage caused by floods.

A total of 69 workers will be employed during the implementation of the project, providing employment opportunities for people in the local community.

The project is being implemented with financial support from the ICRC. It aims to prevent flood-related damage to people’s land and property, protect agricultural land, and provide economic support to vulnerable families in the area.

Through cash-for-work projects, the ARCS provides economic support to affected and vulnerable families and contributes to reducing the impact of natural disasters.
