Kabul: ARCS and Russian Red Cross Emphasize Continued Expansion of Humanitarian Cooperation

Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, met with Pavel Savchuk, President of the Russian Red Cross, and his accompanying delegation in Kabul to discuss coordination between the two organizations and the expansion of humanitarian cooperation and assistance.
During the meeting, Mr. Delawar provided an overview of the humanitarian and healthcare services provided by the ARCS. He said that, in addition to supporting people affected by natural disasters, vulnerable individuals, and families returning from neighboring countries, ARCS also implements vocational training programs aimed at economically empowering families without guardians and other vulnerable households.
He added that ARCS provides healthcare services across the country through 217 fixed clinics and mobile health teams. Through its Cardiac Hospital, the organization provides treatment and surgical services for children with congenital heart defects, while also providing mental health treatment and care services through seven regional zones.
The General President of the ARCS emphasized the importance of continued coordination and cooperation between the two organizations to further expand these humanitarian and healthcare services.
For his part, the President of the Russian Red Cross praised the humanitarian activities of ARCS and pledged to continue relations and cooperation between the two organizations. He also emphasized the need for greater cooperation and coordination between the two organizations in the areas of volunteer training and the exchange of experiences.
Mr. Savchuk emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination between the two organizations in providing humanitarian assistance and support to Afghans residing in Russia and families in need.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of expanding humanitarian services, providing more effective support to people in need, and continuing to strengthen relations and cooperation between the ARCS and the Russian Red Cross.
