ARCS has initiated the program of distributing foodstuffs, to 47400 families in 25 provinces of the country!

On 19th January, ARCS with the cooperation of OIC & financial support of Malik Salman charity foundation has launched the program of distribution of foodstuffs to 47400 families in 25 provinces by iniating aid to 550 vulnerable families of different areas in the capital Kabul. Before distribution of aid, Mr. Mawlavi Mati-Ul-Haq "Khalis" Acting General President of ARCS, while talking to the media expressed his gratitude to the OIC & King Salman Charitable Foundation that in continuation to last year's aid again provided aid to vulnerable people of Afghanistan. He said that there is no space for nationalism, language, ethnicity & regionalism in services of ARCS & everyone who is in need can benefit from its assistance. Mr. Mawlavi Mati-Ul-Haq "Khalis" told that ARCS will distribute this aid with the coordination of Organization of Islamic cooperation and King Salman charity foundation, to 47400 vulnerable families in 25 provinces of the country up-to the end of the current winter. He said that in the near future, the aid of several other countries will be received to ARCS too, which will be distributed transparently to the vulnerable people by ARCS. Later, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Ayash, the representative of the OIC in Afghanistan, said that the aid which is provided in coordination with the OIC includes the required foodstuffs of families, which can meet the needs of a family. He said that the aid will cover up-to 284,000 people. According to him, 2,938 tons of aid was bought from Afghanistan markets, where each family will receive 62 kg foodstuffs, which includes 40-kg flour, 5-kg beans, 5-kg sugar, 5-liters oil, 5-kg rice and 2-kg dates.
