Eastern Zone Earthquake: OIC Hands Over USD 100,000 to ARCS

Amb. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Ayyash, Director General of OIC Mission in Afghanistan, and Mr. Tariq Ali Bakheet, OIC Special Envoy for Afghanistan, formally handed over USD 100,000 in cash assistance to Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS. The financial contribution, provided by the Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF), aims to assist families affected by the earthquake in Kunar province. 
During the handover ceremony, Mr. Delawar expressed his sincere appreciation to the ISF for its generous financial support to the earthquake-affected families in the eastern region. He assured the OIC delegation that the assistance would be delivered with full transparency to the affected communities. Mr. Delawar also praised the OIC’s continued cooperation with the ARCS, particularly in the treatment of patients with congenital heart defects and in supporting communities impacted by natural disasters, expressing hope for the continuation of such humanitarian collaboration.
In his remarks, Mr. Al-Ayyash emphasized that supporting disaster-affected and vulnerable people is a moral obligation for the entire Muslim Ummah and pledged to sustain the OIC’s assistance to support vulnerable Afghans.
