The workshop was conducted with financial support from the Norwegian Red Cross. Participants received both theoretical and practical training on effective and timely response during emergencies, ways of providing assistance to affected people, and the standard principles and procedures of cash transfer.

Participants were also provided with information on identifying the needs of affected people during disasters and providing appropriate services to them.

The aim of the training workshop was to strengthen the capacity of volunteers to provide timely and professional services to people affected by disasters during emergencies.

Through strengthening the capacity of its volunteers, the ARCS helps facilitate a rapid and organized community response during emergencies.
