The ARCS provided assistance to 65 earthquake-affected families in Alborz District of Balkh Province to help them establish sources of income and promote self-reliance.

The assistance, provided with financial support from the Danish Red Cross, included two sheep for each of 63 families, while two other families received complete tailoring kits to help them establish sustainable sources of income.

The purpose of the assistance was to help earthquake-affected families establish sources of income to meet their basic needs, become self-reliant, and reduce their dependence on humanitarian assistance.

In addition to providing emergency humanitarian assistance to families affected by natural disasters, the ARCS also implements income-generation programs to support affected families in returning to their normal lives.
