The Treatment of Cleft Lip and Palate Patients Launched at the Central Hospital of ARCS!

Today, Sunday, May 8th, ARCS inaugurated the free treatment and surgical program for patients suffering from cleft lips and palates at its central hospital in Kabul. The initiative is being carried out by a team of skilled surgeons from Bangladesh. 

The inaugural ceremony was held in the presence of Hafiz Azizur Rahman, the Vice President of ARCS, and Mr. Hamza Shahid Al-Islam, the Head of the Al-Markazul Islami Foundation.

During the gathering, the Vice President of ARCS expressed his gratitude to the foundation for its sustained support and invoked divine blessings upon the representatives of the foundation. 

He added that ARCS is striving to provide comprehensive healthcare services to all citizens within the central hospital, ensuring that vulnerable and impoverished individuals can receive treatment for all kinds of diseases.

Furthermore, Dr. Abdul Wali Utmanzai, Director of the ARCS Central Hospital, briefed attendees on the range of hospital’s ongoing medical services . 

He assured that the leadership and staff of the hospital are wholeheartedly dedicated to serving the people and regard their work as a spiritual duty. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Al-Markazul Islami in the health sector as unforgettable and invaluable.

Subsequently, Mr. Hamza Shahid Al-Islam, speaking on behalf of Al-Markazul Islami, reiterated their dedication to supporting and treating destitute patients in collaboration with ARCS. 

He pledged continued collaboration in the future initiatives, particularly supporting the treatment of ophthalmologic conditions and congenital heart defects. 

He added that their aid to Afghan people would not be limited to this initiative, but would continue and expand to destitute and vulnerable ones as a moral and spiritual imperative.

It is noteworthy that this cleft lip and palate treatment program will extend from May 18th to May 26th.
