Kabul: Four-Day Training Workshop for Health and First Aid Trainers Begins

A four-day training workshop for 35 health and first aid trainers from ARCS branches in Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul, Helmand, Paktika, Kunar, and Nangarhar provinces has commenced at the organization’s central headquarters.

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Abdullah Irfan, Director of Health Services, highlighted the importance of training and capacity-building. He stated that participants would receive essential instruction on the role of volunteers in emergency situations, the provision of first aid services, and related practical skills. He also assured participants of the organization’s full support and cooperation.

During the four-day workshop, participants will receive training and exchange practical experiences on an introduction to National Societies, the importance of polio vaccination, monitoring volunteers’ activities, effective training methodologies, and reporting systems.

The workshop is being conducted with financial support from the IFRC. 

The ARCS strives to strengthen the quality of its health and humanitarian services and enhance emergency response capacity through capacity-building initiatives for its staff and volunteers.
