ARCS Provides 45 Million Afghanis to 3,000 Internally Displaced Families in Paktia

The ARCS provided cash assistance totaling AFN 45 million to 3,000 internally displaced families in Dand-e-Patan and Zazi Aryob districts of Paktia Province.
The aid was distributed in the presence of Sheikh-ul-Hadith Ahmad Noor Hanif and Mawlawi Mohammad Usman Baloch, advisers of the ARCS, Sayed Minhajuddin Hashimi, Southeast Zone Director, and Al-haj Mufti Ghulam Sarwar Abu Ahmad, head of the Paktia Branch.
During the distribution, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Ahmad Noor Hanif said that ARCS stands by those in need as part of its humanitarian mandate and considers supporting people affected by disasters a duty. He added that the organization’s leadership continues its efforts to mobilize humanitarian aid for internally displaced families and plans to extend similar assistance to other provinces in the coming days.
Mr. Hashimi stated that the ARCS has conducted a transparent survey of 8,300 internally displaced families across Paktia, Khost, and Paktika provinces, and that the assistance distribution is now being implemented in practice. He expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the ICRC and voiced hope for the continuation of such assistance.
It is noteworthy that this cash assistance was provided with financial support from the ICRC, with each family receiving AFN 15,000.
