Youths and volunteers membership system educational workshop was launched by ARCS!
On 5th September, ARCS held a two-day membership system workshop for the managers of 34 provinces, regional offices and for some employees of the HQ office.
at the beginning of the workshop, Mr. Mawlavi Matiulhaq "khalis" Acting General President of Afghan Red Crescent, besides, welcoming the participants told that "the membership system which has been started since past one and half decade, established to select the management of ARCS and expand the roots and branches of ARCS in the community.
The purpose of calling members to Afghan Red Crescent is not only limited to membership, but you are also the representatives of Afghan Red Crescent in the society and at the meantime the representatives of the community. We have joint, important & fundamental responsibility. We plan to have active members across Afghanistan, that they could play a vital role in conveying the true voice of the nation. Likewise we expect you to propagate the objects of ARCS among the people & convey its activities. You have a religious, moral, & task-work responsibility, membership is not a privilege, but it is a responsibility. In-active members are useless for the Society & we will take conclusive decision about them. We hope that you may fulfill your responsibility toward the community, we want to have active members and plan to attract the sensible and active citizens of the nation through membership system and establish councils of active members at the provincial level; that could help in the propagation and improvement of ARCS services and activities. There is a difference between the volunteer and member of ARCS, Volunteer provide services in his area, while they do not provide advises, but the members are the best advisors for the programs of ARCS. As you are in touch with community, therefore, I hope that you will be the cause of unification and incorporation of the object of humanitarian services in society.
