A Training Workshop Held for Disaster Department Managers and Volunteers of the Northwest Central Zone and Its Affiliated Branches!
Today, Sunday, May 4th, a three-day training workshop commenced at Kabul Star Hotel in the presence of Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salaam, Acting Secretary General of ARCS, and Mr. Milan, Acting Head of the IFRC in Afghanistan, for 30 disaster managers and volunteers from the Northwest Central Regional Zone and its affiliated branches (Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Panjshir, Bamyan, and Daikundi), with the technical support of ARCS and financial support of IFRC, regarding the transfer of cash to disaster-affected areas and its distribution to vulnerable people.
At the opening session, the Acting Secretary General underscored the importance of training for the staff of disaster department to improve service delivery and effectively address the challenges in the site. He expressed his gratitude to the IFRC for its unwavering support and collaboration. Mr. Abdul Salaam also urged the participants to remain attentive to their responsibilities and get benefited from the workshop.
Following him, the Acting Head of IFRC in Afghanistan briefed on the necessity and value of this workshop, highlighting the pivotal role of such workshops in disaster management and risk reduction efforts for the staff. He assured to sustain their full support to ARCS.
It is noteworthy that in this workshop, comprehensive information will be provided regarding the effective transfer and distribution of cash in affected areas to affected people.
