Three-Day Table Tennis Tournament Hosted by ARCS Concludes

A ceremony was held at the Olympic and Physical Education Gymnasium to honor and encourage the winning athletes of the 14th round of a three-day table tennis tournament.
The event, hosted by the ARCS, was attended by the Director General of the Department of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports, Mawlawi Ahmadullah Wasiq; his deputy, Hafiz Ahmad Jan; the Under-Secretary General for Operational Affairs at ARCS, Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salaam; the Director of Volunteers, Arifullah Mansoor; advisers to the ARCS leadership; the Manager of Sports and Physical Education; and a number of staff members.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Abdul Salaam said that alongside humanitarian assistance, ARCS considers the support of healthy youth activities and sports programs part of its responsibility. He added that such competitions not only strengthen brotherhood and healthy competition among youth, but also play an important role in improving physical and mental well-being. He urged participants to remain committed to sportsmanship and to continue striving to bring honor to the country.
The Director General of the Department of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports expressed appreciation to the ARCS leadership for hosting the tournament, describing sport as an important tool for social unity, healthy thinking, and positive change. He assured that sports activities would continue to expand nationwide.
Mr. Wasiq congratulated the winning table tennis players and emphasized that the Department of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports will continue its efforts to support athletes and expand sports activities across the country.
