Tuesday, July 28, 2026
The ARCS distributed livelihood assistance to 60 earthquake-affected families in Khulm district of Samangan Province to strengthen household resilience, promote self-reliance, and support sustainable income generation.
The assistance was provided with financial support from the Danish Red Cross. Under the programme, 44 families each received two sheep, a water bucket, a wash basin, and a shovel to help establish livestock-based livelihoods. In addition, 16 families received complete tailoring kits, including sewing machines, zigzag machines, irons, and other essential tailoring equipment.
The assistance aims to enable earthquake-affected families to establish sustainable sources of income by building on their skills and available opportunities, strengthen their economic resilience, and meet their basic household needs through their own means.
