The ARCS distributed 395,000 Afghanis to four female vocational training instructors and 50 trainees at vocational training centres in the Shindand and Zendeh Jan districts of Herat Province under the Climate Change Project.

The assistance covered instructors’ salaries and transportation costs for the trainees, ensuring the continued and uninterrupted delivery of vocational training.

Upon completing the six-month vocational training program, the trainees are expected to use the tailoring skills they have acquired to secure employment, generate income, and contribute to improving their families’ livelihoods.

The program is being implemented with financial support from IFRC. It aims to enhance vocational skills, strengthen small-scale livelihood activities, and provide sustainable income opportunities for vulnerable families.
