ARCS General President Discusses Returnees’ Problems with Afghan Consul General in Peshawar

Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, met in his office with Hafiz Mohibullah Shakir, Afghanistan’s Consul General in Peshawar, Pakistan.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the challenges faced by Afghan returnees waiting across the Durand Hypothetical Line, as well as those returning to the country. They also exchanged views on meeting their basic needs and providing essential health services, food assistance, and non-food items.

In his remarks, Mr. Delawar emphasized that humanitarian services should be delivered in a timely, coordinated, and equitable manner so that returnees can access essential assistance without delays.

The Afghan Consul General expressed his appreciation for the meeting and stressed that supporting returnee families and addressing their challenges is a shared responsibility. He also assured full coordination and cooperation with the ARCS in this regard.
