The acting deputy head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met the Turkish ambassador in Kabul.
Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, Acting Deputy Head of the ARCS and Dr. Mohammad Nabi Burhan, Secretary General of the ARCS met the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Turkey Jihad Argini, in Kabul today.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the distribution of 750 tons of food and non-food items, which are set to be sent to Afghanistan by the Turkish people; also, surveying elligible benificiaries for the assistance was a part of discussion. The Acting Deputy Director of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, assured the Turkish Ambassador, Jihad Argini that their assistance would be delivered without delay to all 34 provinces of Afghanistan by the ARCS in a transparent manner. Representatives of the Turkish Emergency Management Agency, Tika Wellfare Foundation and the Turkish Red Crescent Society also attended the meeting.
The 750 tons of Turkish assistance includes food, clothing, wheelchairs, blankets and hygiene items, which will soon be imported to Afghanistan through the port of Torghundi.
