Nearly 60 Tons of Food Assistance Provided to 650 Earthquake-Affected Families in Balkh

The ARCS, with the support of Peace Village International, provided 59.8 metric tons of food assistance to 650 earthquake-affected families from various districts of Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh Province.
As part of the assistance, each family received 92 kilograms of food items, including 50 kilograms of flour, 10 liters of cooking oil, 5 kilograms of sugar, 7 kilograms of beans, 7 kilograms of chickpeas, 8 kilograms of macaroni, 2 kilograms of tomato paste, 1 kilogram of green tea, and 2 kilograms of salt.
This assistance will help meet the families’ urgent and daily needs to some extent.
It is worth noting that the ARCS is making every possible effort to provide humanitarian assistance in various sectors to those in need, disaster-affected people, and families without guardians.
