Balkh: Humanitarian Aid Distributed to 600 Earthquake-Affected Families

During an official visit to Balkh province, the General President of the ARCS,  Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, accompanied by a delegation, distributed food, non-food, and cash assistance to 600 families affected by the recent earthquake in Kishindeh district of Balkh province.
In his remarks during the aid distribution ceremony, Mr. Delawar stated, “The ARCS has launched a relief operation to assist 4,000 earthquake-affected families in Balkh and Samangan provinces and is striving to further expand humanitarian support to the affected households.” He expressed his sincere appreciation to the IFRC, the KSrelief, and other international humanitarian partners for their generous support and cooperation with the ARCS in assisting families affected by the recent disaster.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Balkh province, Mawlawi Noorulhadi Abu Idrees, praised the ARCS for its humanitarian activities and commended its continued commitment to supporting disaster-affected communities.
Under this initiative, cash assistance totaling AFN 3,675,000 was distributed among 350 families, with each family receiving AFN 10,500. The remaining 250 families received four types of food and non-food items, including one tent, five blankets, one kitchen set, and 16 kilograms of dates per family.
The assistance aimed to address the urgent needs of earthquake-affected families and to improve their living conditions.
