The Distribution of Non-food Items to Repatriated Refugee Families Commenced as the Winter Season Looms!

Today, Tuesday, the 21st of January, ARCS with the financial support of Norwegian Red Cross launched the initiative of distribution of winter package, hygiene kits and dignity kits to eight repatriated refugee families in Kabul. The campaign which was graced in the presence of Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, the Acting General President of ARCS, Hafiz Aziz-ur-Rahman, the Vice-president of ARCS and the representatives of Norwegian Red Cross in Afghanistan marks the beginning of distribution to total 2,000 deported refugee families.
During the distribution of this aid, the Acting General President of ARCS expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Norwegian Red Cross and underscored the importance of such aids in this harsh winter season.
Further, he added that this initiative is aimed to alleviate the hardships of repatriated refugee families and support them in this bitter winter. He stated that in coming days the same aid will be distributed to 2,000 repatriated refugee families in Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Nuristan, Paktia, Khost, Logar, Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul and Uruzgan Provinces.
Additionally, Mr. Delawar assured that ARCS is transparently delivering its humanitarian services and activities to needy, headless families, repatriated refugees and disasters-affected people and is committed in supporting them.
It is noteworthy that this aid includes 2,000 wintery packages, 4,000 hygiene kits and 2,000 dignity kits.
