Today, on Tuesday, 8th of March 2022 Maulvi Matiul Haq Khalis, Acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, met in his office with Anderson, the Denmark Red Cross representative for Europe and Asia, and Arbab Shuker, a representative of the Denmark Red Cross for Red Crescent and IFRC.
Maulvi Matiul Haq Khalis, Acting Director of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, told the participants that" the Afghan Red Crescent Society has a lot of humanitarian services and the Denmark Red Cross, which seeks to provide assistance in each region through a memorandum of understanding and coordination we are ready for any help".
He said the Afghan Red Crescent was committed to the seven principles of the international movement in its activities, had full independence and the government had not interfered in the affairs of the Afghan Red Crescent in the past six months. "We have called on the international community to monitor the Afghan Red Crescent's humanitarian activities, particularly the distribution of aid," he said at a meeting with ambassadors from 10 countries in Qatar, as well as Norway.
