On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, 10 tons of Qurbani meat were distributed to 2,000 vulnerable families from different districts of Kabul at the central headquarters of the ARCS.

As part of this support, 1,000 families received assistance funded by the Turkish Red Crescent, while another 1,000 families were supported by the Diyanet Foundation of Türkiye. Each family received 5 kilograms of meat.

The distribution ceremony was attended by ARCS Vice President Hafiz Azizur Rahman, the Ambassador of Türkiye to Afghanistan, representatives of the Turkish Red Crescent, officials from the Diyanet Foundation, as well as several directors, staff members, and volunteers of the ARCS.

During the event, Hafiz Azizur Rahman expressed appreciation for the continued and comprehensive support of the Turkish Red Crescent and the Diyanet Foundation, noting that such assistance not only supports vulnerable families but also strengthens the bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two countries.

Mr. Naeemullah Karimi, head of the Turkish Red Crescent in Afghanistan, stated that the Turkish Red Crescent remains committed to standing alongside the Afghan people and supporting vulnerable and needy families under all circumstances.

It is also worth noting that an additional 3 tons of Qurbani meat will be distributed tomorrow to 600 more vulnerable families with the support of the Turkish Red Crescent.

The ARCS continues its efforts, in coordination with partner organizations, to expand humanitarian assistance and deliver more effective services to people in need.
