An eight-day training workshop on financial procedures and accounting has been launched at the central headquarters of the ARCS for 28 staff members from the income sections of the Finance Department, Central Marastoon, Paktia Zone, Central Hospital, and the Mental Health Care and Treatment Center.
At the opening of the workshop, Mr. Hafiz Shabir Ahmad Osmani, Head of the Finance Department, described the workshop as an important opportunity to strengthen the staff’s academic and professional skills. He emphasized that such programs are particularly valuable for improving financial management both at the central headquarters and in provincial branches.
He added that building the capacity of financial staff helps strengthen overall administrative operations, while gaps in this area can negatively affect the organization’s performance.
Mr. Osmani urged participants to carry out their duties with sincerity and dedication to achieve the organization’s administrative goals effectively. He also assured that similar training programs will be organized in the future to further enhance staff capabilities.
During the workshop, participants will receive comprehensive training on preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring timely and effective budget use, following principles of accountability, maintaining financial transparency, and complying with regulations.
It is noteworthy that this workshop is being conducted with financial support from the IFRC in Afghanistan.
