Follow-Up Meeting on Developing Strategic Planning Convened with Partners!

Today, Wednesday, May 14th, Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salaam, the Acting Secretary General of ARCS, and two Under-secretary Generals, Mawlawi Abdul Latif Sabet and Mawlawi Ezatullah Amin held a follow-up meeting at the HQ of this national humanitarian organization with the representatives of ARCS’s key partners (ICRC, IFRC, Danish and Norwegian Red Crosses). The aim of the meeting was the development of the ARCS new strategic plan, following the collaborative commitments made in prior meetings and sharing critical insights. 

At the biggening of the meeting, the Acting Secretary General expressed his appreciation for the joint collaboration among working partners in developing a strategic plan. He provided a comprehensive overview of the current situation in the country, recent developments, the capacity of the National Society, and the needs and priorities of the people, all of which are essential considerations in shaping the new strategic plan. 

Further, Mr. Rohullah underscored the importance of partners’ technical and financial support with ARCS. 

In response, the representatives of ICRC, IFRC, Danish and Norwegian Red Crosses stated that the new strategic plan should be developed based on the present context and to address the shortcomings of the previous plan. They pledged of enhanced collaboration and coordination with this national humanitarian organization in this important endeavor.
