Cash Assistance Initiative Launched for Self-reliance of 300 Registered Headless Women at Kabul Central Marastoon!
Today, Tuesday, the 4th of March, ARCS with the financial support of British Red Cross, distributed in total of 2.2 million Afghanis in cash to 110 vulnerable women at Kabul Central Marastoon from various districts and neighborhoods of Kabul who possess tailoring expertise, enabling them to purchase essential tailoring equipment.
During the distribution ceremony, Mr. Hafiz Aziz Ul Rahman, the Vice-president of ARCS, extended his profound appreciation to British Red Cross for their support. He underscored the significance of this initiative in supporting economic independence and self-sufficiency among Headless women.
Furthermore, Mr. Aziz Ul Rahman added that under this program, 200 women in Kandahar, Kunduz, Paktia, Herat, and Mazar-e-Sharif regions would receive an initial grant of 20,000 Afghanis each for purchasing tailoring equipment after survey. following an assessment of their work progress, an additional 15,000 Afghanis would be allocated to each to further support their self-sufficiency.
It is noteworthy that the remaining 190 identified women will also receive cash assistance in the coming days, facilitating the establishment of small-scale enterprises.
