ARCS Vice President Discusses Polio Prevention with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Representative

Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS, held an online meeting with Ms. Ana Maria, Head of the Polio Program for Asia at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to discuss polio prevention, strengthening vaccination campaigns, and future cooperation in Afghanistan.
Mr. Rahman expressed gratitude for the Foundation’s continued support for polio vaccination and highlighted the successful rollout of vaccination programs across Afghanistan in 2025. He assured that the ARCS will strengthen its efforts to eradicate polio.
Ms. Ana Maria praised ARCS’s critical role in polio prevention, noting that eradicating polio in the region requires joint and sustained efforts. She emphasized that vaccination programs must continue systematically to ensure all children are reached and the disease is ultimately eliminated.
