ARCS Acting General President Meets with the New Head of IFRC for Afghanistan

Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, Acting General President of ARCS, along with Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President, held an introductory meeting with Mr. Samae Al-Fakhouri, the newly appointed head for the IFRC in Afghanistan. 

During the meeting, the Acting General President sincerely  appreciated IFRC and its former head for their unwavering support in delivering humanitarian services. He congratulated Mr. Al-Fakhouri on his new appointment and offered prayers for his success. 

Further, Mr. Delawar briefed the delegation on ARCS’s services delivered in alignment with the fundamental principles, particularly independence and impartiality. He underscored the crucial role of both male and female volunteers and strongly called for enhanced collaboration in supporting vulnerable individuals, headless families, returnees, and patients in need.

In response, the Head of IFRC in Afghanistan commended the leadership of ARCS for its commitment to humanitarian services and affirmed the IFRC’s dedication to mobilize international support through embassies and national societies. 

He also pledged to further strengthen and expand humanitarian assistance across Afghanistan.
