The Acting Vice President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society Meets the director of the International Federation in Kabul!

On Sunday, 16 th of Ramadan, 17th of April 2022  Mawlavi Noruddin Turabi ,the vice president of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, met Mr. Nesfor, the director of the International Federation in Kabul, in his office.

During the meeting, discussed the activities and better coordination between the Afghan Red Crescent Society and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society. Mawlavi Noruddin Turabi, vice president of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, has provided information about the development and needs of the ARCS.

He said the Afghan Red Crescent Society had set up seven Marastoon's in seven zones, each Marastoon accommodating about 1000 widows, orphans and the disabled, with all facilities provided to them. The Afghan Red Crescent is also responsible for dealing with the aftermath of disaster affected people.

Mr. Nesfor, director of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, said that the International Federation is working with the Afghan Red Crescent Society to provide assistance to those who are in need and to increase the capacity building of ARCS staff.
