Discussions and views were also exchanged on developing terms of reference for these working groups and on the inclusion of working partners in the technical groups.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Under-Secretary General for Operations of the ARCS spoke about the importance of the new working mechanism and said that its implementation would make the coordination and joint work process between the ARCS and its working partners more organized and effective, while improving the management of time and resources in carrying out activities.

He added that establishing technical working groups would help coordinate activities across different areas, clarify responsibilities, and effectively implement joint programs.

The Head of the IFRC Delegation in Afghanistan welcomed the new working mechanism and said that regular coordination and joint work among working partners are needed so that humanitarian activities can be carried out more effectively and in a more coordinated manner.

He said that the technical working groups would help coordinate activities in different areas and facilitate the sharing of experiences, information, and ideas among working partners.

Mr. Faysal also emphasized the joint cooperation, continuous coordination, and clear working mechanisms of all working partners for the successful implementation of the new working mechanism.

At the end of the meeting, participants discussed the next steps for implementing the new working mechanism and launching the activities of the technical working groups.
