Kabul: ARCS General President and Head of ICRC Delegation in Afghanistan Visit Cardiac Hospital

Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, and Mr. Johannes Brouwer, Head of the ICRC Delegation in Afghanistan, visited the Cardiac Hospital and were briefed on the treatment of children with congenital heart defects and the healthcare services provided to patients.

During their visit to various departments of the hospital, the two officials were briefed by relevant staff on the work of specialist doctors and healthcare workers, the quality of services provided to patients, and the treatment process for children with congenital heart defects.

Mr. Delawar praised the hospital’s activities and the efforts of specialist doctors and healthcare workers in treating children with congenital heart defects. He stressed the need to provide patients with quality healthcare services and to make continuous efforts to further improve the quality of services.

Mr. Brouwer expressed satisfaction with the hospital’s activities and the quality of healthcare services provided to patients. He described the establishment of such a quality healthcare facility in Afghanistan for children with congenital heart defects as an important step and assured that the ICRC would continue supporting the ARCS in this area.
