Workshop Commences on Expansion of Five-Year Health Services Strategy

A four-day training workshop aimed at expanding the ARCS’s health services and their effectiveness has commenced, with the participation of 55 healthcare personnel from both the center and provinces. The opening session was attended by Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salaam, Under-Secretary General for Operational Affairs, along with representatives of the IFRC, the Turkish Red Crescent, and the Danish and Norwegian Red Cross Societies in Afghanistan.
During the opening session, Mr. Abdul Salaam expressed his appreciation for the financial and technical support provided by international partners toward enhancing the efficiency of health services. He noted that such workshops play a crucial role in building the capacity of the healthcare staff and urged participants to make the most of the opportunity to improve the quality of healthcare delivery.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abdullah Irfan, Head of the ARCS Health Services Department, described the workshop as a significant step toward advancing the organization’s health services. He emphasized that healthcare workers should provide timely and effective services to vulnerable and needy citizens in their respective areas.
Notably, throughout the workshop, participants will receive in-depth information and training on the development of the ARCS Five-Year Health Strategy (2026–2030), the delivery of first aid, the treatment program for children with congenital heart defects, ambulance services, public health protection, and blood bank management.
