Iranian Red Crescent Hands Over 45 Tons of Assistance to ARCS for Kunar Earthquake Victims

Iranian Red Crescent delivered 45 metric tons of food and non-food assistance to support earthquake-affected families in Kunar Province. The assistance was formally handed over by Alireza Begdeli, Ambassador of the Republic of Iran in Afghanistan, to Mullah Mohammad Saleh Akhundzada, Director of Disaster Management at the ARCS.
During the handover, Mr. Akhundzada conveyed profound appreciation to the people of Iran for their humanitarian support. He emphasized that such assistance not only alleviates the immediate humanitarian needs of the earthquake victims but also reflects goodwill and strengthens the bonds of brotherhood between the two nations.
In his remarks, Ambassador Begdeli stated that the Iranian people stand in solidarity with the Afghans and that their pain
is shared by the Iranian nation. He assured that further aid will be provided to support those affected by the disaster.
It is noteworthy that the Iranian Red Crescent will soon deliver nearly 68 tons of additional food and non-food supplies, including rice, tea, tents, blankets, kitchen utensils, and other essential items, by land through Herat Province, where it will be handed over to the ARCS.
