Acting General President of ARCS had bilateral meeting with Secretary General of Singapore Red Cross, in Doha!
Mr. Mawlavi Mati-Ul-Haq "Khalis" Acting General President of ARCS had bilateral meeting with Mr. Benjamin J. William, Secretary General of Singapore Red Cross on joint cooperation, humanitarian aid & a number of other issues, in Doha. At the beginning of meeting, Mr. Khalis expressed his gratitude to Singapore Red Cross for helping Afghan people via ARCS. After explaining health services, assisting of vulnerable people, protection & treatment of psychological patients & upcoming activities of ARCS, Mr. Khalis stated, "Last year, ARCS had allocated 2 million USD budget for the treatment of children suffering from cardiovascular septal defect, but due to increasing number of patients, ARCS is unable to treat all patients due to lack of fund, so It's necessary that national societies shall cooperate ARCS in this regard". Mr. Khalis told" in last one year, ARCS has provided food, non-foodstuffs & cash assistance nearly to 300,000 families via volunteers." In meeting, Mr. Benjamin J. William, Secretary General of Singapore Red Cross, besides Praising the process of ARCS volunteers, health and other services in Afghanistan, expressed interest to work with ARCS like the past in humanitarian aid field & pledged that after receiving the agreement from ARCS, will initiate the program of online collection donations in their country for the treatment of children suffering from cardiovascular septal defect, psychological patients and number of other fields." He said, "We are determined to send staff to Afghanistan and after closely perceiving the activities and needs of ARCS, will solicit aid from some welfare organizations and convey the voice of Afghan people to the donors."
