Mr. Mawlavi Mati-Ul-Haq "Khalis" Acting General President of ARCS and his accompanied delegation had bilateral meeting with Ms. Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, head of ICRC and her accompanied delegation, on providing humanitarian aid to the vulnerable people of Afghanistan, helping the needy people, health services, taking care & treatment of psychological patients & a number of other issues, in Doha. In meeting, Mr. Khalis expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of ICRC in health & other sections and discussed the current situation of Afghanistan, problems, economic crisis & some other issues. He stated " ARCS takes care and treats the psychological patients, children suffering from cardiovascular septal defect and poverty-stricken widows and headless families by its own expense, but because the number of these people is increasing daly and the budget of ARCS is inadequate, so it necessary that ICRC shall help & provide full cooperation to ARCS in afore-mentioned sections & call on international donors to help Afghanistan. Mr. Khalis requested the head of ICRC to deliver health and other humanitarian services via ARCS in those districts of the country, which have been severely affected by the past conflicts, but has not yet provided with health and humanitarian services. In meeting, head of ICRC, besides expressing her gratitude and support for the transparency of ARCS in humanitarian services, also promised to make efforts to advance and develop these sections and will try to invite other relief institutions to help ARCS. Likewise, she expressed her happiness for equal assistance to women and children in humanitarian aid provided by ARCS.
