Maulvi Matiul Haq Khalis, Acting Director General of the Afghan Red Crescent Society in a meeting with the members of the United Nations said that "Afghanistan is facing a lot of problems and the forty three years of war, political upheaval and the corona virus have brought a humanitarian catastrophe to Afghanistan," he said. However, more than ever, there is a great need for humanitarian assistance, which must be provided in a transparent manner and to reach as many needy people as possible.

He said that in order to create transparency in every department and institution, there should be coordination and justice in distribution and the needy people should benefit. That is why joint work is needed. He said the Afghan Red Crescent had taken such steps over the past five months and was moving forward with coordination and transparency with the relevant charities and monitoring the distribution of humanitarian aid.

The Acting Director General of the Afghan Red Crescent Society said to audience that the Afghan Red Crescent Society, with its 31,000 volunteers and a representative in each province, is ready to work with any humanitarian organization without any political, linguistic or regional considerations. to prevent betrayal, chaos and arbitrariness, and to establish real justice.

He further said that" ongoing aid to Afghanistan can keep Afghans alive, but it cannot improve the economic situation of Afghans," he said. Therefore, it is imperative for the United Nations charities and organizations to take steps in Afghanistan so that Afghans can stand on their own feet and no longer be a burden on anyone.
