Comprehensive Presentation on the Improvement and Expansion of Humanitarian Services Presented to the Leadership of ARCS!
Today, Tuesday, May 13th, Ms. Becca Robey, Deputy Director of Strategic Policy at the British Red Cross delivered an insightful presentation focusing on the strengthening and expansion of humanitarian services at the headquarters of ARCS.
The session was attended by Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, the Acting General President of ARCS; Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salaam, the Acting Secretary General; Milan Gezdawek, the Acting Head of IFRC in Afghanistan; Huma Nader, IFRC Manager of Strategic Coordination and Humanitarian Diplomacy for Afghanistan.
During the session, the Acting General President expressed his appreciation for sharing the new insights and constructive recommendations aimed at improving the efficiency and impact of humanitarian services and efforts. He reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to merit based and impartial recruitment of competent and qualified individuals within the organization.
Further, Mr. Delawar stated that due to global downturn in humanitarian assistance, ARCS, too, has faced constraints in delivering aid.
He appealed for increased collaboration and coordination in this regard.
The Deputy Director of Strategic Policy at the British Red Cross, upon her research of ARCS’s performance between 2021 to 2025, commended the organization’s sustainable humanitarian efforts and achievements despite challenges.
She shared essential and necessary information on strengthening ties with representatives from other national societies, creating an environment of trust and confidence at national and global levels, developing domestic income-generating sources, and highlighting the positive aspects of delivered humanitarian assistance during past crises. She also expressed optimism for sustainable support with ARCS.
