On 27th of Rabi ul Thani, Afghan Red Crescent treated 7,780 poor and needy patients who returned through Torkham border in the last ten days, thereof 3,335 were children under five. Among the patients treated: 2,300 patient had throutache, chest,cold and fever-related diseases, 1,708 had diarrhea, 597 had skin diseases, while 1,220 mothers were offered prenatal health advices, 390 children were vaccinated against various diseases, 1,209 People have been offered psychological counseling,27 cases of malaria have been registered so far and 329 wounded have been dressed up. Also wintry clothes were offered to some children and some patient were provided soaps. It is worth mentioning that Afghan Red Crescent mobile medical teams have reached to returnees refugee camp in Torkham since almost two weeks and yet have provided extensive humanitarian health services.
