The Chinese Red Cross donated 131tons of food aid to the Afghan Red Crescent Society!

Today, on Wednesday, 16th of March 2022 The Chinese Red Cross donated 131 tons of food aid during a press conference held at the HQ of the Afghan Red Crescent Society. The aid was handed over in the presence of Mawlave Nooruldin Turabi.

The aid will be distributed to 700 needy families in Paktika and 612 needy families in Kabul. Maulvi Matiul Haq Khalis the acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, thanked China for its past and present assistance and called for the continuation of such assistance. He added that Afghans are currently facing serious problems and need help. Our hope is that the Chinese Red Cross and its people will help the Afghan Red Crescent in various fields, especially in the areas of health, Marastoon and disaster relief.

On the other hand, Chinese Ambassador Wang Yu expressed his pleasure to meet the leadership of the Afghan Red Crescent Society and said that the Afghan Red Crescent is helping the needy Afghans and we are ready to provide any kind of assistance in this regard. He added that the people of China have a long-standing relationship with Afghans and consider the problems of Afghans as their problems, so we will continue our assistance, especially in the fields of economy and agriculture.
