The ARCS distributed AFN 3,900,000 in cash assistance to 150 repatriated female-headed families in Herat Province to support self-reliance and strengthen small businesses.
This assistance was distributed at the Western Zone Marastoon, where 100 families received AFN 24,000 per family, supported by the Finnish Red Cross, and 50 families received AFN 30,000 per family, supported by the British Red Cross.
These families had previously completed four months of vocational training in tailoring, livestock rearing, poultry farming, and embroidery.
Through this assistance, the families will be able to cover their daily expenses and become self-reliant to some extent.
