China Red Cross Provides USD 200,000 to ARCS for Kunar Earthquake Victims

China Red Cross has donated USD 200,000 in cash assistance to support families affected by the recent earthquake in Kunar province. The contribution was formally handed over during a press briefing in Kabul by Bao Xuhui, Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan, to Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS.
In his remarks, President Delawar expressed gratitude for China’s continued humanitarian support, describing the financial assistance as crucial for providing urgent relief and addressing the immediate needs of the earthquake-affected families. He also called for the expansion of such assistance in the future.
Mr. Xuhui reaffirmed his country’s commitment to stand with the Afghan people, noting that China is determined to provide additional humanitarian support for earthquake victims in the near future and to further strengthen cooperation with the Afghan nation.
Separately, President Delawar also received Mr. Xuhui in his office, where they discussed ways to enhance emergency relief efforts for affected communities in eastern Afghanistan. Both sides expressed hope for deeper coordination and collaboration in humanitarian response.
Mr. Xuhui extended condolences to the victims of the disaster and assured that the  China Red Cross, together with the Chinese people, will continue to support Afghan families impacted by the earthquake.
