Kunduz: ARCS Launches New Projects to Support Livelihood Opportunities

Thursday, July 3, 2025

ARCS has launched two new cash-for-work projects in the Hazar Chanar and Wali Dad villages of Dasht-e-Archi district in Kunduz province. The initiatives aim to create employment opportunities for 250 individuals, including both skilled and unskilled laborers.

As part of the projects, workers will be engaged in cleaning traditional irrigation canals (karezes). Skilled workers will receive a daily wage of 1,000 Afghanis, while unskilled workers will be paid 500 Afghanis per day.

In addition to restoring this critical infrastructure, the projects are intended to reduce unemployment and provide immediate economic support to local communities.
