Yesterday, on 11th of October, Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis, Acting President of Afghan Red Crescent, held a meeting with Rajesh Srivastava, in charge of the British Red Cross for the Asian Pacific Region, to seek assistance and to coordinate the aid for earthquake victims, in Herat province. in the meeting, the regional in charge of the British Red Cross committed to support the earthquake victims of Herat and try their best to collect aid for them. He also stated that they will continue their assistance to Afghanistan and plans to open British Red Cross branch in Afghanistan in coming year, to provide humanitarian services in collaboration with Afghan Red Crescent. Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis, the Acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent,appreciation the plan of establishing British Red Cross branch in Afghanistan. He mentioned that, as per an agreement, Afghan Red Crescent will provide an opportunity for British Red Cross to carry out its humanitarian services in the country.
