Nearly AFN 500,000 in Cash Assistance Disbursed via Bank Transfers to 107 Families Engaged in Street Begging

ARCS has provided a total of AFN 488,000  in targeted cash transfers via Azizi Bank to 107 vulnerable families, primarily composed of individuals engaged in street begging, across Maidan Wardak and Kapisa provinces.
The beneficiaries were identified in both provincial capitals and districts. Upon confirmation of eligibility, financial support for the month of Saratan (July) was transferred directly to their individual bank accounts.
As part of this assistance, large families received AFN 5,000, medium-sized families received AFN 4,000, and smaller ones received AFN 2,000 each.
Notably, a similar disbursement was carried out the previous day, during which over AFN 2 million was transferred via bank accounts to 499 families engaged in street begging across Nangarhar, Ghazni, Paktika, and Khost Provinces.
