Kabul: 14 Afghans Stranded in Snow on Türkiye-Iran Border Transferred to Hospitals for Treatment

Wednesday, February 4, 2026

Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, visited 14 patients at the ARCS Central Hospital to assess their health. These patients had been stranded in the snow in the border area between Iran and Türkiye a few days ago.
Following consultations with specialists from the ARCS Central Hospital, Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Hospital, and the Special Forces Hospital, Mr. Delawar instructed the relevant authorities to admit five patients to Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Hospital, five to the Special Forces Hospital, and the remaining four to the ARCS Central Hospital for appropriate treatment based on their condition. He also urged the medical staff at the Central Hospital to provide these patients with special care alongside their regular duties and to closely monitor their health.
It is worth noting that, as a gesture of special compassion by the General President, a cash grant of 10,000 Afghanis was provided to each patient.
