In a significant humanitarian effort, the ARCS, with financial support from the Government of India, has distributed a total of 210 metric tons of food and non-food assistance to 5,000 vulnerable, orphaned, and disaster-affected families across six provinces of Afghanistan.
As part of this effort, 1,500 families in Paktika, 1,500 in Badakhshan, 1,250 in Kandahar, and 250 families each in Helmand, Zabul, and Uruzgan received assistance.
Each beneficiary household received a food package including flour, cooking oil, rice, sugar, beans, lentils, macaroni, millet, salt, and biscuits, as well as non-food essentials such as laundry detergent and hand soap.
This initiative aims to alleviate economic hardship faced by vulnerable families and address their immediate livelihood needs.
